McNeely Pigott & Fox Welcomes Fall Interns

Four interns have joined McNeely Pigott & Fox Public Relations for the fall semester. The internship program at MP&F is open to college sophomores, juniors and seniors.

 
“Our intern program is designed to give students hands-on public relations experience in a variety of capacities,” said MP&F partner David Fox. “Each one of our interns has the benefit of participating in real projects at a full-service agency.” 
 
The fall 2012 interns are:
Jessica Burke (Johannesburg, South Africa; Lipscomb University junior)
Shermaine Nettles (Clarksville, Tenn.; Tennessee State University senior)
Kristen Scott (Gallatin, Tenn.; Middle Tennessee State University senior)
Stephanie Winn (Nashville, Tenn.; Belmont University senior)
 
 
Jessica Burke is a junior at Lipscomb University majoring in public communication and leadership. Burke serves as co-anchor and video editor for Lumination, Lipscomb University’s official student news service. At Lipscomb, she also works at the university library and is a student supervisor for the campus Starbucks. A native of Johannesburg, South Africa, Burke will graduate in May 2014.
 
 
 
Shermaine Nettles is a senior at Tennessee State University majoring in integrated marketing communications and minoring in psychology. Nettles completed a previous internship with The Buntin Group, where she helped create social media campaigns and oversaw the development of the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation’s annual diversity report. Nettles is also a contributing writer for an online women’s lifestyle magazine, www.askmissa.com. A native of Clarksville, Tenn., Nettles will graduate in December 2013.
 
 
 
Kristen Scott is a senior at Middle Tennessee State University majoring in advertising with a public relations concentration, and double-minoring in business administration and writing. Scott completed a previous internship with Sumner Regional Medical Center, where she assisted with public relations and community outreach. Scott is also a volunteer with the Girl Scouts of America. A native of Gallatin, Tenn., Scott will graduate in December 2012.
 
 
 
Stephanie Winn is a senior at Belmont University majoring in public relations and minoring in social justice. Winn completed a previous internship with Phired Up Productions, where she worked as a research assistant. At Belmont, Winn is active in the Student Government Association and her sorority, Alpha Sigma Tau. She also volunteers regularly with various Nashville nonprofit organizations. A native of Nashville, Winn will graduate in May 2013.
