Shoney's To Host 5K Fun Run & Festival Fundraiser

The 2nd Annual Shoney’s 5K Family Fun Run & Festival is set for June 5 at LP Field. 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the Metropolitan Nashville Police Support Fund, which is designed to reimburse college tuition for officers seeking higher education degrees and assist with other advanced training.

The Kids Fun Run starts at 7:45 a.m. and the 5K run begins at 8 a.m. with the festival immediately following. Prizes for the 5K run’s top three finishers in the male and female categories are: $500 cash and a $500 Shoney’s gift card for first place; $250 cash and a $250 Shoney’s gift card for second place; and $100 cash and a $100 Shoney’s gift card for third place. All children participating in the Kids Fun Run will receive badges, t-shirts and goodie bags.
