Bjordahl, Penny, Rossi Celebrate Milestone Anniversaries with MP&F

1/27/2010
McNeely Pigott & Fox recognized three special anniversaries this month. Chief Financial Officer Mark Bjordahl was honored for 10 years of service, and Executive Assistant Erin Penny and Vice President Courtenay Rossi were each honored for five years at MP&F.

Bjordahl, a native of De Smet, S.D., is responsible for all accounting functions at MP&F. Prior to MP&F, he served as controller at The Wichita Eagle and Aberdeen American News. Bjordahl, a certified public accountant, has also served as finance director for Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee, Inc., and staff accountant for the CPA firms Eide Helmeke & Company and Cahill, Kohlman & Guhin.

“Mark has made invaluable contributions to this company,” said Senior Partner Mark McNeely. “We expect all of our employees to do great work, and Mark has given nothing short of that for the past 10 years. We are all very grateful to have him here.”

Rossi, a Washington, D.C.-area native and veteran national broadcast journalist, joined McNeely Pigott & Fox in 2004. Her 15-year career in television journalism included work as White House producer for NBC News in Washington, D.C.

“Courtenay’s national media experience and her leadership, especially as our Job Corps team leader, have made her an invaluable asset to this firm,” said Partner Katy Varney. “We are lucky to have her with us and look forward to building on her success for the future.”

Penny, a native of Lakeland, Fla., was previously the executive administrative assistant for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville/Davidson County, Fair Board Division, for more than six years, and was also a sales team leader with the Target Corporation.

“I’m not sure the partners could live without Erin Penny,” Varney said. “She’s always a step or two ahead of us, and I’d be hard-pressed to think there is a better assistant out there.”
